Pyrotec™ HR180 is a Made to Order heat resistant powder coating designed for applications requiring continuous service temperatures up to 180°C and may be formulated in a range of Made to Order colours.

 

Pyrotec™ HR180™ exhibits decorative and durability characteristics suitable for internal use and external product applications combined with excellent overall performance. Pyrotec™ HR180 polyesters have a multitude of uses over various substrates including steel and aluminium e.g. barbecues and barbecue fittings, wood stoves, commercial lighting fixtures and automotive components. For more information please contact your local Dulux representative or Customer Service Team.

Aluminium Applications

Surface Preparation for Aluminium

In accordance with AS 3715-2002 Metal finishing – Thermoset powder coating for architectural applications of aluminium and aluminium alloys.

How to Specify for Aluminium

Example – (Dulux Pyrotec™ HR180  Brown Texture 91388987) to be applied in accordance with AS 3715-2002.

Other Metal Applications

Surface Preparation for Other Metal Substrates

In accordance with AS 4506-2005 Metal finishing – Thermoset powder coatings. Refer to Table 2.1 for appropriate pretreatment for various substrate metal surfaces such as Steel (Bright, Semi Bright), Steel (Zinc Coated) and Stainless Steel. The appropriate pretreatment option will vary according to atmospheric classification as set out in AS 4506-2005 Metal finishing – Thermoset powder coatings (Appendix G).

How to Specify for Other Metal Substrates

Example – Powder Coating of (Components to be coated) (Atmospheric Classification) (Substrate) with (Dulux Pyrotec™ HR180  Brown Texture 91388987)  to meet AS4506-2005. Compliance to this standard must be demonstrated through provision of a certificate from the coating applicator outlining the relevant, “atmospheric classification, substrate and method of chemical or mechanical surface preparation”.
