In 2026 the Colour Forecast reflects a growing collective need for warmth, calm, and reconnection with ourselves, and each other, as well as with nature. In a time of uncertainty - marked by geopolitical unrest, economic pressures, and our growing reliance on digital connection - many are turning inwardly, looking for refuge and renewal. This feeling drives a strong shift towards comforting and nurturing colours that foster positivity, well-being, and a secure haven.
This year, the 2026 Colour Forecast moves away from the bolder, more energetic contrast schemes of previous years in favour of rich, warm earth-based neutrals, deep berry hues, and a spectrum of green shades - from soft sage and spearmint to rich olive - alongside gentle pinks, dusty rose, and calming pastels. Warm grey adds a depth and softness, creating sophisticated spaces that feel welcoming and restful. Each palette features colours from across our decorative paint coatings and Dulux Powder Coat colours.

Ethereal offers a gentle, uplifting refuge - a palette inspired by nature, grounded in hope, and designed for emotional restoration.
The Dulux Ethereal palette invites a soft form of escapism, creating playful and whimsical spaces filled with serenity, tenderness, and a dreamlike sense of calm. Its themes draw on the growing cultural influence of folklore, fantasy fiction, and healing rituals, such as gardening, nature walks and journalling, reflecting a broader shift toward tenderness, renewal, and a quiet resilience.
More than just an aesthetic, it’s a feminine inspired sanctuary designed to ease stress and foster a deep sense of peace and joy.
A predominant feature includes a refined blend of soft and mid-tone hues – greens, mauves, and blush pinks – that feel both joyful and restorative, filled with vintage rose, warm buttercream, and gentle pastels.

Elemental – Elemental reflects a growing desire for slow living, emotional clarity, and intentional simplicity, bringing stability and quiet order.
Dulux Elemental offers a calm, grounded counterbalance to the overwhelm of modern life. Embedded in anti-burnout culture and inspired by brutalist design principles.
This palette showcases the natural environment with furniture, finishes, and design choices prioritising repairability, durability, and lasting utility over fleeting trends. Raw, enduring materials – stone, concrete and timber anchor a responsible‑design ethos where each element is built to last. Clean lines and unadorned forms highlight texture and function, with industrial chrome and aluminium accents adding a modern edge.
The Elemental Powder Coat Palette
The Elemental powder coat palette features the distinctive, textured finishes of Duratec Elements2 Granite and Duratec Elements2 Stone, alongside Duratec Eternity Vintage Copper Kinetic and Electro Natural Silver Kinetic for an elevated, industrial look.

Rooted in vintage aesthetics, it embraces imperfection and cherishes treasures, blending elements of past and future to create a fresh and eclectic style, reflecting a conscious shift toward circular design, sustainability, and the reuse of materials.
