Dulux Powders have launched a new Duratec series called Duratec Elements, a range of distinctive, robust mar-resistant textured powder coat finishes built to withstand the elements.
Launched in response to two sets of insights, the first from the design community where there is a trend for lower sheen finishes, for example flat and matt, alongside the move towards more natural looking materials in both residential and commercial buildings.
“The Dulux Duratec Elements Powder Coat range presents specifiers with a range of super durable subtle finishes that still attract your eye and make a statement,” says Steve Barnard, Marketing Manager for Dulux Powders & Industrial Coatings. “The textured finish together with its flat sheen level generates a distinctively natural finish when compared to traditional smooth powder coatings, meeting the demand for these looks on new construction.”
The second insight has been from the construction industry who are seeking more robust finishes that can reduce the visible mar and scuffing that can happen to coated items.
Super durable Duratec Elements meets this need as its textured finish is designed to reduce the visible mar and scuffing that can happen during transportation, fabrication, construction and during the service life of the building when compared to smooth powder coat finishes.
“When matched with the Alumi Shield and Steel Shield warranties that are available when applied by Dulux Accredited Powder Coaters,” continues Steve Barnard, “this is a really strong proposition.”
The new range features eight on trend colours, including four authentic industrial metallic looks and 4 of your favourite solid Colorbond® colours and is supported by a dedicated Duratec Elements colour selector and powder coated swatches.
