Go Kindy, an urban childcare facility located in Newcastle, NSW was a finalist in the 2019 Dulux Colour Awards in the Commercial Interior – Public Space and Hospitality category. The centre contains several internal playrooms over 3 levels, each directly accessing a large open landscaped play area and a 10m high powder coated model eucalypt tree screen.

The screen features both Duratec Eternity Titanium Pearl and bright Duratec Intensity Leaf, which have been used on different sides of the screen. Pentagon shapes have been punched out of the screen and cleverly angled to create the image of a eucalypt tree using the two colours.

The screens are carried through the childcare centre and provide interesting and colourful focal points throughout. Dulux Electro Black Ace has also been used to coat the glazing frames in a contrasting darker colour.

Inside, all playrooms feature their own distinctive colour scheme which is carried through into the joinery, pinboards, room graphics and the suspended acoustic circular ceiling panels.
